Knitting Classes at Greta's Handcraft Centre - 2010

Greta's Handcraft Centre will again be running our extremely popular Knitting Classes & Workshops throughout 2010. I would like to introduce you to our new teacher, Lynette, who will be running all classes & workshops. Lynette is an extremely experienced knitter, with years of teaching behind her & lots of patience. Classes and Workshops are held at our shop in Lindfield in a comfortable knitting area, providing all amenities.

"Blankets & Throws" by Debbie Abrahams Blanket Club

This year we will be running our blanket club a little differently. You will be able to choose to make any of the blankets from Debbie Abrahams two books, "Blankets & Throws To Knit" & "More Blankets & Throws".

The classes will commence at the beginning of March and will run every four weeks until October. Everyone will have a chance to attend as a choice of Friday or Saturday will be available. You will also be able to do "make-up" classes if you miss one. Please note the dates of the first classes:-

Friday, 12th March, 2010 or Saturday, 13th March, 2010
Friday, 19th March, 2010 or Saturday, 20th March, 2010

The techniques to learn will include Knitting with Beads, Intarsia, Cable, Lace Knitting and more.

All classes will commence at 10.30am and finish at 1.30pm.

Class fees are $25.00 per person.
To avoid disappointment book your class as soon as possible, as numbers are limited.

Workshops

This year Lynette will be running the Finishing Off Techniques workshop every 6 weeks. These workshops will have an option or Friday or Saturday to allow everyone the chance to attend. Dates as follows:

Friday 30 April             OR Saturday 1 May
Friday 18 June            OR Saturday 19 June
Friday 23 July             OR Saturday 24 July
Friday 20 August         OR Saturday 21 August
Friday 8 October         OR Saturday 9 October

All classes will commence at 10.30am and finish at 1.30pm.

Class fees are $50.00 per person.

To avoid disappointment book your class as soon as possible, as numbers are limited.

Knitting Lessons

As well as our structured classes, knitting lessons are available Monday to Saturday, except on days that conflict with workshops. These are 2 hours & are for any knitting dilemma you may be having, or any method/skill/stitch eg Scrumbling you would like to learn or refine.

The cost is $40.00 per 2 hour session, bookings are essential.
